The Cosmonaut

A man once went to the store to buy mangos and blue cake.  While rubbing a lightning shaped scar on his forehead, he said to the invisible cat next to him, “Grimalkin, we’re fickle, stupid beings with poor memories and a great gift for self-destruction.”  The cat replied, “Carry on my wayward son, allons-y.”  “Okay.” the man said.

I once undertook a quest to see how many fandom references I could get into the fewest sentences possible while still retaining a cohesive train of thought, and the above was the result.  I’d say that sums me up pretty well.  But.  Athena knows I love to talk about myself, so I’ll continue talking in the hopes that I can also clear up some confusions.

Firstly.  Tiberius is not my actual name (no really?), it’s just an alias I enjoy using for internet purposes.  Most of you probably know me in real life; if you don’t, then I am wondering what dark gods you have angered to cause you to wander into this portion of the internet.  I would ask that those who know me not reveal who I am.  I enjoy my privacy.

A day may come when the privacy of men fails, when we forsake the shadows and break free from the darkness, but this is not that day.  An hour of secret conspiracies and complete truth, where the are no secrets.  But it is not this day!   This day we private!

Yes, I did just make “private” into a verb.  No, you may not contest me on this matter, I don’t care what Merriam says.

Secondly.  I’m a TCK.  If you don’t know what that is, google it.  I’m sure I’ll write a blog post on the deep meaning behind those letters someday, but for now, suffice it to say I grew up overseas.  I would call China my home, though I’ve lived in Singapore and Vietnam.  I was born in Kentucky.  Most of my family lives in Arkansas, but also some in Texas and Oklahoma.  I’m considering colleges in Texas and Oklahoma.  Needless to say, “Where are you from?” is a complicated question.  After years of struggling with said inquiry, I have come up with a suitable response:  I live in the moment.

Thirdly.  Fandoms.  There is way too much material here to cover in a paragraph or two so I suggest you check out some of my pages or blog posts.  May Raziel help you survive.

Heroes

I created this blog to be about me, not just about my writing or some specific purpose.  That makes about pages like these somewhat redundant.  I don’t really care.  I wanted to give you guys a starting point before jumping into the messed up ball of entropy that is my life.  I’ve got a lot to say and I don’t intend to shut up any time soon.
